NEW RECIPE Oatmeal Cookies
1. Cream the butter (at room temperature) with the sugar and vanilla sugar. 2. Add the eggs and mix everything well. 3. Stir in the flour, oatmeal, and baking powder. The dough should not be too stiff. 4. Place the dough in the freezer for 20 minutes. If you're not baking the cookies immediately, cover the dough with plastic wrap or place it in a bag and refrigerate. (It should keep fine for up to two days.) 5. Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F). 6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 7. Wet your hands with water, shape the dough into balls, flatten them into circles, and place them on the baking sheet, leaving about 1.5 inches of space between each ball. 8. Bake for 20 minutes. 1. In a mixer bowl, mix flour, soda and sugar. 2. Add butter and mix well on low speed for about 5 minutes. 3. Add the egg and mix on low speed for 5 more minutes. 4. Preheat oven to 375F (190C). 5. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. 6. Spread 3/4 of the dough evenly over the parchment and lightly press the dough with your hands. 7. Spread the jam on top of the dough. (If the jam is very thick, it can be warmed up and this way it will be easier to distribute.) 8. Sprinkle the remaining dough crumbs on top. 9. Bake 18-20 minutes. Place on a cutting board and cut into squares while still hot. Cool on a wire rack. |
