You can use any meat for these patties. I prefer a mixture of beef, pork and veal in a 1:1:1 ratio.
Ingredients:
• salt | 1 teaspoon |
• ground black pepper | 1/2 teaspoon |
• onion | 1 small |
• milk | 1/2 cup |
• breadcrumbs | 2/3 cup |
• egg | 1 |
• coriander | 1/2 teaspoon |
• oil | for frying |
• ground meat | 2 lb |
• white bread | 2 slices |
1. Soak bread slices in the milk.
2. Peel and finely dice the onion.
3. Squeeze out the milk from the bread slices.
4. In a mixing bowl: thoroughly combine the ground meat with the soaked bread, chopped onion, egg, coriander, salt and ground pepper.
5. Moist your hands, take a handful of the ground meat mixture, and shape into oval- or round-shape patties. Roll the patty in breadcrumbs, and put on tray. Repeat this until mixture is done.
6. Prepare ovenproof pot with a lid (or any ovenproof dish and foil).
7. Preheat oven on 410F.
8. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes in each side on medium heat until golden brown.
9. Place patties in the ovenproof pot, cover with the lid and bake 15 minutes in the oven.
